Driving 2hrs in the morning and 2hrs in the evening to a cube farm where people dial in to video conference calls is a waste. Now with 2 parents working. Trying to deal with Schools constantly have half days early dismissal closed schools. Then after school sports etc. it’s hard for parents to keep up. Working from home should not be an issue. Companies can easily track ur productivity and what ur doing with laptop cameras and even AI.

WFH is a feminist issue. Yes, I said it and I’ll stand by it. Women still disproportionately carry unpaid caregiving and domestic labour, so workplace flexibility directly impacts women’s economic independence and participation in the workforce. If a job can be done effectively from home, WFH should absolutely be considered.

And there should be flexibility for parents who have to do pick ups and drop offs, etc. especially if you can work from home and make up time if you need to pick up a child

Can we not renovate old buildings into affordable rental units? it would solve some housing issues and would be good for businesses downtown too. I do not care if someone does their job in an office or at home.

Paying for parking to work is a big NO. If parking fees were reasonable or if we had a tax deduction then ok sure. But paying 20$+ daily. Noooo
