That slap was because she got offended of him questioning her feelings for him. Sure, she loved Seiroku when they were together but looking how much of a baddie Noriko is, I don't think she is the type to get married to someone she didn't love. So yes, she loves Kengo now. Looking back on it, it seems he is also her first love when they were younger. Sure, she probs will be with Seiroku if he was alive, but he isnt. and that must be fate, but he loves Kengo now.

From what I heard, he asked for her hand in marriage from her family, Noriko's father loved the idea and forced it upon her. And that was when Seiroku and Noriko had feelings for each other. I don't know if it's true, I just heard it. But what I am very sure about is that Seiroku and Noriko were together and then Seiroku died from the war. I really hate it tbh, they would've been a power couple, a strong and capable woman and an smart man. I'm gonna go wallow and cry and draw them😭😭😭
