Because WHY is listening to a podcast detailing another person’s horrific torture and death interesting???? Like that sound people used a few years back that went “her arms were cut off her legs were cut off” while the caption was something like “what I’m listening to while doing xyz menial thing” like it’s WEIRDO BEHAVIOR

True crime should only ever be intriguing at most from a preventative and social science approach and people who romanticize and make weird thirst traps of ted bundy and similar need to rethink themselves. I think that people maybe believe it’s a “he’ll kill everyone except for me cuz I’ll be special snd ‘reverse Stockholm syndrome’ my way into fixing him and having a happy ending.”

I saw dark romance books mentioned but also i see the mafia glorified as well, their entire existence is to do crime, the yakuza infiltrated their government, the italian mafia got super big, the bratva still are a giant issue in russia, etc. I like to learn about topics dark or not but glorifying them is just bad all around

I DESPISE how its romanticised ive been stalked and stuff its never cute or "hot" the othet day i saw some ai video romanstiring a man getting arrested for stalking the comments were thirsting but its like no even if the guy was attractive or not getting stalked isnt fun seeing the comments made my stomach turn
