you should always get a flexible working arrangement officially in place. ask to reduce your hours if necessary. I can see both sides to this one.

Survived it once again :
I understand the employee, been there myself. I have two employees that use my vans to get their children from school as it helps everyone for time and the kids comfort. What happened after was , employee started arriving back later and later , come to find out employee was chatting away with the other parents . Sometimes employers don't want to be unhelpful, things happen and we loose trust

Do these people not realize after school clubs need a terms notice due to limited places , there’s paperwork involved and fees that need to be paid upfront .

I left my job after my boss said it wasn’t fair to the 20-year-olds to pick up more accounts after four other team members had left, just because I had twins, so I had to figure out a way to take on the extra workload. I did figure it out by leaving his team, just like six other team members did within a four-month period. He managed to be a wanker to both the younger and older staff, so now he has to figure out how to manage all those accounts with seven fewer people on his team.
