@heather_spytek: Yep. That’s right 😄 ATTENTION. Attention for Lyme Disease. Attention for Babesia. Attention for Bartonella. Attention for the millions of people living with invisible, chronic illnesses. This month marks ONE YEAR of treatment for me. 💚 Right now I’m hooked up to my IV — two different bags already infused at a one-hour drip rate, and now I’m on my third infusion… a 4-hour drip. 💉 And no, Lyme treatment isn’t always as simple as “take antibiotics and you’re done.” Treatment can involve targeting Lyme, Babesia, and Bartonella through different stages and treatment cycles, including persistent forms and biofilm-related challenges. It can be a long, complicated process and sometimes the finish line moves. My updated treatment forecast is at least another 5 months. So if sharing what this looks like helps even ONE person feel less alone, recognize their symptoms, advocate for themselves, or understand that chronic illness can be completely invisible… Then YES.
