He told immigration officers that he didn’t know anyone in the UK and claimed that during his previous visit, he had simply stayed in his hotel throughout the trip. But then officers examined messages on his phone. They reportedly found a message telling him to tell immigration that he had a British relative in the UK. After further questioning, he admitted that he actually had an in-law in the UK. His in-law later sent him additional money, giving him enough funds in his account to support his stay. He was eventually allowed to enter the UK. The interesting part? His phone contained information that didn’t initially match the story he gave immigration.
