@theblaircameron: Part 2 - In Part 1, we talked about why the manosphere “works” on (influences) young men despite how inherently flawed so many of its premises are. The manosphere is known for its radioactive toxicity, extreme misogyny, and for pushing ideas that have led to horrible treatment of women around the world. In Part 2, we discuss the solution to this problem. #social #dating #masculinity #MentalHealth #men

A lot of the responsibility lies with older men. Because if younger boys are already in that manosphere mindset, they really care what other men think. Thats why they’re there.

The REAL problem is the stuff yall call toxic actually works, if it didn’t the whole ideology would have fallen out of favor. Becoming a successful, attractive, strong and disciplined man improves every aspect of your life. Men started actually respecting themselves and it’s “toxic” and they “hate women”. Na they recognized patterns and shared notes and came to a conclusion based on what works and what doesn’t. Saying it’s bad because it makes you feel icky isn’t a good argument.

We just need more class solidarity. Pointing at struggling men and saying they have so much privilege just doesn’t make sense to them. Yeah they may have more privilege than a woman in the same position, but that doesn’t compare at all to the privilege of the men and women in the billionaire class. Patriarchy is a pillar which supports the extreme wealth inequality. Dismantling it takes more than just demonizing men. We certainly aren’t going to gain any solidarity by creating animosity between genders.

While I understand your message here it’s just not going to accomplish anything. Men for generations have been told to repress their emotions, suck it up, life is hard, be a man, work harder so you don’t have time to think about it. In the dating pool men are taught how to treat women from a young age VS women are told how they should be treated and valued and how beautiful they are. Then the most recent wave of feminism blames all young men for all their “issues” and “inequality” when realistically in this day and age women have a louder voice, are empathized with, are validated, and have all the rights that men do and even more than men do. I mean just look at the most recent trending topic of Lindsay Clancy feminism jumped in and said “obviously it was the husband a women would never do such a thing to her own children” despite the OVERWHELMING evidence that she indeed did it (and I know it’s not all women or feminists saying this) so a man loses his ENTIRE family overnight and instead of empathizing with him he’s literally being blamed for the most tragic and darkest day of his life.

Empathy is just an evolved trait. Like a psychopath is 0/5 on empathy. You are 5/5, and the world has everything in between with both genders on the scale. Loyalty is its own separate trait. Callousness. Greed. Ect. What is the problem? Resource scarcity. There are 600,000 more men than women age 18-24 in the U.S, if we all part up 1 to 1, then there is a block 600k dudes in their prime with no woman. Now compound the problem with female hypergamy, high standards, hookup culture based on looks, and capitalism that requires a large lower class to function. The result? Onlyfans and the manosphere. When millions of men realize a relationship is not on the horizon they turn to either self improvement or laziness and coping mechanisms. Self improvement guarantee a relationship. Someone has to hold the bag of being alone for life. Someone has to be the impoverished janitor. The system requires it and it’s not going away. Evolution has baked into it a system for some males being ignored by women. You can’t undo that. It’s primal. Some people are going to have to be without a partner. Injecting men with an empathy shot would make them more like this content creator, and that would make him happy, but empathy isn’t getting you a gf, or pulling you out of poverty. It’s not a magic fix for anything important, but it will make people feel better and safer about the content they see on the internet. It will make women feel safer when they scroll in the internet. Women worry about that group of men who can’t get a gf. They worry about violence. They want to be safe. Do you feel empathy toward them? Depends. Are you 1/5? 4/5?

Boys seem to have a innate desire to be cool, so you have to give them access to cool things too. And women just tend to not understand what men want or dont validate there chase for what they see as greatness. I dont understand it but still I felt like that when I was young, that the left were complete losers and the right were cool. That still holds up but I ended up as a leftist on mentality alone

Young men need to learn they are in competition with young women especially for jobs. They need to go to college, get law degrees and MDs and PhDs. People need to quit telling them that college is only for women.

I have sympathy for these young boys, but I don't think, as a rhetorical device, saying that people "don't know what it's like" to be told from birth that you're uniquely awful, and then finally be given a space where things about you that have been demonized are instead valorized and accepted only for people to demonize that too, is a good strategy when the audience you're trying to speak to is primarily female and/or queer. We know EXACTLY how that feels, because we lived it, too, but instead of winding up in hate groups, we largely wound up building community around trying to keep each other safe from the groups telling us we were disgusting and inhuman. Are there roughly equivalent edge cases in our communities? Absolutely, this is also how we get things like lesbian separatism and Valerie Solanas types. But, again, those edge cases have less cultural influence than the manosphere does, because they are inherently smaller and prioritized less by the culture than discourse from and pertaining to men.

The issue is the base claims of the red pill trend towards being right, the grift they sell isn’t. Hypergamy is documented, women do trend toward dating equal or higher earning men and that holds up in studies that control for men just earning more in general. Where the red pill gets it wrong is calling that women being shallow. It’s a provider script, the same one that ties a man’s worth to what he earns. Which nobody chose, we just got graded on it. As well women who out-earn their partners consistently report lower relationship satisfaction, men’s doesn’t shift either way. Nobody’s enforcing that, the standard runs on its own. Men saying we’re more than a paycheck doesn’t do much, we’re not the ones applying the standard. That part has to come from women. I dunno how much appetite there is for it though.
