@alorenw07: dough: 2 cups all purpose flour 1/2 cup whole milk 1/4 cup granulated sugar 1 1/2 tsp active dry or instant yeast 1 large egg 2 1/2 Tbsp unsalted butter melted 1/2 tsp salt filling: 1/2 cup butter softened 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 Tbsp ground cinnamon Combine milk, sugar and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy. Whisk in the egg and melted butter. Add 2 cups of flour and the salt. Mix. Knead. The dough should become smooth without sticking to your hands. Add flour 1 tablespoon at a time only if too wet. Place in a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm spot for 1.5 to 2 hours until doubled. Mix softened butter, brown sugar and cinnamon into a paste. Punch down the dough and roll into a roughly 9x12-inch rectangle. Spread the filling, cut into 6 pieces and roll them up. Place in a greased pan. Cover and rest for 30 minutes until puffy. Pour the warmed heavy cream directly over the top. Preheat oven to 375°F. Bake for 20–25 minutes until brown on top and cooked through in the center. Add your favorite frosting. I love cream cheese frosting on cinnamon rolls. #cinnamonrolls #baking #fallbaking #homemade #dessertideas
