@samantha.catterall: When you hire me to list your property, I’m investing in it before I ever earn a dollar. Photography. Marketing. Advertising. Signs. Mileage. Time. Resources. Over the last 12 months, I’ve had 7 listings that, for one reason or another, didn’t close with me—some expired and the seller chose another direction, and others I chose to walk away from. My investment into those properties? More than $6,000. Commission earned? $0. I’m not sharing that to complain. It’s part of the business I chose. But sellers should know: your agent should be investing in the sale of your home. If they aren’t, that might be worth asking about. And this past year taught me something else: I’m done sugarcoating pricing. If the market is telling us something, I’m going to tell you. If the price is hurting us, I’m going to tell you that too. My job isn’t to tell you what you want to hear. It’s to give you the information and strategy you need to get your home sold. We both have something invested—and we both win at the closing table. 🔑🏡
