I mean it's just common sense that talking in grass barefoot will help u psychologically. Doing anything that reminds your body you're not meant to sit on the couch staring at ur phone all day is good for u. Now back to flipping thru TT on my couch!

"grounding" should be done outside. I'm pretty sure just being outside is what's good for you. kai bye

I do like a good foot soak in warm water with Epsom salts, but not dry salt.

standing outside on the ground barefood, grass between your toes, a bug crawling by... that is grounding. reconnecting with earth. not a metal tray with refined sea salt in a sterile bathroom.

I believe the exfoliating part sure, after that it's nonsense. But at the same time it's not harmful I guess so each to their own.

This is why people are told to “touch grass”… skip the salt & just go outside on the ground with bare feet for ten mins. You’ll notice a difference.

100% of this is going to exist in your head and may have a placebo or minor cns involvement. it could be literally anything thst has a slightly edge texture but as always, the brain is doing the work not the crystals. dont embrace woo, it wont work.

I mean...I always soaked my feet in epsom salt and water after a long day and it's nice? I also have a body butter with epsom salt in it that helps after a long time on my feet.

There may be underwhelming research into "grounding" specifically, buuutttt there is viable research (including Harvard, Cleveland Clinic, Mayo Clinic, and NIH) into the benefits of foot massage and its activation of the parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest). Standing/"walking" on the salt simulates gentle massage similar to walking on sand. Parasympathetic activation does in fact regulate cortisol and serotonin. Regulating cortisol will reduce inflammation and boost the immune system. But basically, they took genuine clinical research and wrapped it in new agey lingo which makes it harder to take seriously. 🤷🏻‍♂️
