I do genuinely think you’re sorry, but I wish you had at least watched some of the videos made by trans people about it, as we’re the ones who are hurt by it. I understand a lot of them were angry, and they had a right to be, but I also saw many that tried to genuinely educate you.

Honestly I get you might be sorry, but I used to really respect you and thought you were very level headed and on the right side of things, being trans in this current world is incredibly difficult and you saying that helping JKR wasn’t a problem was very hurtful, especially when you doubled down, your apology doesn’t feel genuine to me I think you see all the videos coming out and realize no one is agreeing with you and are simply publicly changing your stance, I’ve seen this happen with a lot of folks on TikTok, I hope I’m wrong but we’ll see

I watched Tamo's video earlier today and am so glad it ended up in front of you. He made some amazing points about his own journey and growth and I love that you were willing to listen. Now, my take: I am a trans woman and have been following this whole saga. Truth be told, as a trans person, I still struggle with trying to let go of the HP IP, and it will be a struggle not to participate in the new HBO production. But that is my journey and I don't fault anyone their own experiences with it. HP has been a safe haven for so many marginalized people and so if it still brings comfort to them, I will fight for them to do so. Rowling is a monster, but if she did one good thing with her miserable life, it was give many of us a home and a community. To the wider community, this man is doing his best. You might find it lacking, and I'm sorry that the world has made you jaded in such a way that you can't take his words at face value. But for my little piece of the trans community, I choose to give him grace. P.S. - Regarding the comments about him avoiding other responses, you're just beating a dead horse. Whether you found his arguments in poor taste, that doesn't mean he should be subject to the same hate and vitriol that you're claiming to be defending against. Tamo provided a constructive response that wasn't a personal attack. If there are other constructive videos out there, I'm sure our man would be willing to give them a listen too. Now, can we stop the in-fighting and direct this animosity towards that bitch in the U.K.?

i do think you’re speaking with genuine intentions and only mean the best, i think tamo put it very well honestly, but i do think it’s also smthn to consider, that you only listened to the message coming from someone within your own group before making this response. honestly i do think it’s difficult to see these things in ourselves, especially when we mean no ill will, but i hope moving forward you’re able to listen a little more closely to the voices you may not have been aware you were tuning out. that said, i dont want to seem like your care and good intentions are being ignored, bc i don’t think they should be. it’s easy to not acknowledge this kind of thing, and it’s easy to not acknowledge hidden biases we may have, so i do think being able to apologize and acknowledge any issues in your message was a rlly good move, (and a refreshing one considering public opinion these days).

Your initial video led to tamo’s response and I personally found that response to be thoughtful, informative and genuine. I feel like your response and apology (although it’s not my apology to receive) holds to that theme. The apology is accepted, I appreciate the gesture as a transgender individual, really. But I must make it clear that what is done is done and the damage is what it is. I'm glad that tamos video got through, and it's great that you're trying to take that to heart. Three things tho... 1) please tell us specifically if you are or are not going to watch the TV show, because you didn't say anything about the actual thing at issue, and 2) tell us what you are going to do moving forward. What's next on your journey? 3) even though some of those videos are angry, now you know WHY they are angry, so it might behoove you to watch some of them from actual trans creators. I wish you luck and growth.

Ya’ll. She’s already a billionaire and has been long before the controversy… plus she makes multi-millions a year from things completely unrelated to HP. It’s totally everyone’s choice to consume whatever media they want, but it’s very important to also stay in reality and know that no amount of boycotting will ever make a difference. I refuse to let some random billionaire who has no idea I exist dictate what I can and cannot interact with.
