definitely sounds like a heart attack i had a bull die and no thrash marks either. snake bite usually there is some marks.

That's where the saying "where there's livestock, there'll be dead stock" comes from. You can rejoice with new life and ten seconds later be completely devastated with loss, yet your day must still go on, there's still livestock to tend to.

Awww... sorry to hear. I've lost a couple of calves to suspected snake bite. The mum of one of them was head down and not eating, her bottom lip ballooned up, so I suspect she was bitten there. After about a week it went down and then became an abscess which burst later. That year I cleaned up a tiger snake while slashing, which I'd not seen before. What's worse than having a tiger snake wrap around your ankle while pushing a slasher?? Half a tiger snake, the angry half 😱

I cried all day after losing my gander, Gandalf. He was the goose equivalent of your ram. He was such a Jerk but also a sweet, gentle, sweetheart to any baby. Even the goat kids. Last season he would bring the ducklings down to their house each night. And he and his mate Dusty even hatched some ducklings they adopted. Death is part of what we experience on the farm, but some hit differently. Never in a million years would I have thought I would one day be crying over a goose. Gandalf the Jerk of Pabs Place. And our little place is not the same without him. He's first babies are due to hatch over the next week. He wanted to be a dad so much that he adopted other animals and now he's not here to see it. 🥰🥰🥰 R.I.P to your Teddy 🥰🥰🥰 Ours was a goanna. F🤬🤬kin Australia
