We get a message from IP with a daily reminder about the nozin. If we don’t give it by 3 they’ll send another message. (It’s something we’re trying out for a year. ) I usually respond with something funny and they love it 😂

Patients will also say they’ve been NPO for four days and they’ve only been admitted for one. They’ll also say they haven’t seen a doctor all day and they’ve seen their hospitalist and two specialists.

Patients lie, patients forget. I try not to go down that comparison path. Patients tell you, no one does it as good as you and tells the next nurse the same thing, lol.

i’ve literally had AOx4 patients tell their family members that no one has seen them all day when multiple doctors, PT/OT, dietary, social work, and i have been in their room every hour. i don’t trust other staff but i also don’t trust patients lol
