@cinetamiledits: DC is a Tamil action-crime drama directed by Arun Matheswaran, starring Lokesh Kanagaraj as Devadas (Das) and Wamiqa Gabbi as Chandra. It was released on August 7, 2026. DC follows Devadas, a rebellious young man who lives outside the law with his group of friends. After a robbery involving corrupt police officers leads to an innocent family being devastated, Das realizes that the money taken from them was meant to help a young boy. Feeling responsible, he decides to make things right. This puts him and his friends directly in the path of a ruthless police officer, forcing them to stay on the run. During his escape, Das meets Chandra, a woman trapped in an exploitative situation. Their lives become connected as both try to break free from the circumstances controlling them. What begins as survival gradually becomes a story about loyalty, love, justice, revenge, and redemption. As the police close in, Das suffers devastating losses, including the death of someone close to him. His desire to protect the innocent and make things right turns into a dangerous confrontation with those responsible. Ultimately, DC becomes a dark story about whether someone who has lived a violent life can still choose to do something meaningful and find redemption.
