Y’all! Marketing jargon like “The Highest Quality” gets thrown around all willy-nilly these days…but what does that really mean?! 🤔🤔🤔 For a natural dog chew like a Bully Stick…a HUGE part is the actual raw material — like these beautiful Raw Beef Pizzles you see here! 😍 And quality actually starts wayyy BEFORE the pizzle. We’ve been working with some of the same farms for OVER A DECADE — starting with free-range cattle, where they come from, how they’re raised, the grass they eat etc. etc. - and years of working together to get the raw material exactly where we want it. Any farm that wasn’t up to the Wild Wolf Standard…got kicked to the curb years ago. ✌🏼💅🏽 Then comes something we’re borderline OBSESSIVE about: THE COLD CHAIN. ❄️😂 Once those pizzles are collected, time and temperature MATTER. Getting them properly chilled and keeping them temperature-controlled…and maintaining that cold chain all the way to the water-washing is a HUGE part of protecting the raw material. That’s actually a big reason why we use South American Pizzles…Cold Chain Integrity! 🙏🏼👨🏼‍🔬 Then we’re looking at the pizzle itself — lab-testing, trimming, density, tissue quality, consistency, sorting and lot traceability all the way back to the source. 🕵🏼‍♂️🔎 Basically…we’re obsessed 😍 And that’s STILL just the raw material! 🤪🙈 From there you get into independently audited food-safety systems, SQF & BRCGS-certified facilities, HACCP controls, sanitation, microbiological testing and our proprietary controlled drying process (Because optimally drying a Bully Stick isn’t just turning an oven ON and OFF 🤭). Temperature, time, airflow, moisture removal, girth and load all interact — and we verify the finished product with critical measurements like water activity. 🔬🔬🔬 That’s a little bit of what more than a decade of working with the farms/facilities and perfecting the process looks like. I could literally go on-and-on…but Wild Wolf Odin is looking at me with his big puppy eyes wanting some attention. But maybe a Pizzle Manifesto in the future… 🤔🤔🤔 Anybody can say “High Quality”…but I wanted to show a little bit of what that looks like… We’re huge on transparency…and also huge on getting The Pack what they deserve…The Best! 🥰🙏🏼 Happy Chewing! 🥳🐺 #dogtreats #dogchews #fallinlovewithpets #doglovers #dogs - @wildwolfbullysticks
