funny because I bought a motorcycle from a climate scientist in long beach. I told him I was looking to buy a house in the area. he said the area i was looking at would be a bad long term investment because climate models predict the area would be underwater in 20-30 years.

This is why no matter how much I love the beach and no matter how beautiful the homes are, I will never buy a beachfront property. I hope everybody stay safe in their homes are OK.

You all had 4-5 days of information that the storms were going to cause potentially high waves coinciding with high tide. Why didn’t you prepare by using sand bags or other devices to protect the inside of your homes????

I’d never live near the coast like that. In less than 10 years, those homes will be under the sea most likely. 😭 Already happening to other countries, mainly ones surrounded on all sides by the ocean.
