@pattakespictures: Piccadilly Circus, late 2025. He was walking toward me, I had maybe two seconds. Camera down, frame up, a few quick shots, maybe 15, 20 frames in total. He never noticed. The RAW was decent but the background was fighting the subject. All those lights, all that movement, none of it was helping him stand out. So I shaped the light around him. Three Linear Gradients darkened the background from different directions, removing the noise without touching him. Two Radial Gradients with Subtract Subject brightened and warmed the bokeh behind him separately, creating depth and separation between subject and scene. Subject Selection brought his face and jacket forward with texture, clarity and saturation. Two Linear Gradients with Intersect Subject lifted specific zones of his face and body, keeping the light directional. One final Linear Gradient added a last layer of texture to the subject. 🎨 Finished with ELYSIUM - 005_Fantasy preset. Steven Philip :
The power of assisted subject selection. Good luck pixel peeping him 10 years ago in PS with the lasso tool. 😂
