@thealienateddad: The order is in place until June 11, 2028 and the officer is barred from rejoining the police service. #MET #Police #London #restrainingorder #exposed A Met Police officer has been immediately sacked and banned from working for the police again after he had a restraining order imposed on him. PC Dawid Lewicki, of the Met's South West command unit, was found guilty of gross misconduct at a hearing on Friday (August 28) and dismissed without notice. It comes after Westminster Magistrates' Court imposed the restraining order 'for the protection of a woman known to' Lewicki on June 12. He cannot make direct or indirect contact with the woman and is not allowed to attend her home address or workplace. The order is in place until Sunday, June 11, 2028. The Met Police disciplinary hearing determined that Lewicki had breached the standards of professional behaviour in respect of discreditable conduct. Chief Superintendent Dan Knowles, in charge of policing for south west London, said: "A basic expectation of police officers is that they uphold the law and maintain the highest standards of behaviour, both on and off duty. "The public rightly expect officers to act with integrity and off-duty conduct that requires a court-imposed order seriously undermines trust in policing. PC Lewicki's actions amounted to gross misconduct and his dismissal without notice was the appropriate outcome." PC Lewicki is now on the College of Policing Barred List, preventing him from rejoining the police service or undertaking certain other policing-related roles in the future.

In my experience officers were well known for domestic violence, some of the injuries were horrendous the partner would be advised by as a senior officer not to press charges as it would effect the perpetrators career.
