I'm not bashing kaori but when sasha got 2nd in the 2022 Olympics, she said that "whats wrong with 2nd" and she laughs. and know i dont know but i think when we have goals to make their is always a curse..feel had for kaori...

Sometimes I feel like ppl in the comments never did sports before opening their mouths. Being second is one of the worst feelings if your mindset is not perfectly healthy. That’s why my heart has been with Sasha that day, despite being happy for the rest of the podium. I used to train according to the “Russian system” and that harmed me as an athlete beyond repair. I’d like to say I have a general idea what she could’ve felt in that moment, but to be honest, I don’t. Public pressure must been a cherry on top for both of the girls. Proud of Sakamoto for an amazing encore to her career - with an Olympic title and her final gold secured. And extremely excited for Ignatova’s comeback, because her newest program looks very good so far 🥰

Both girls are very valid. This sport take a lot of blood, sweat, and tears. Sasha trusova pushed her body to its limit to do things that were thought to be almost impossible for women’s skating. Kaori sakamoto gave so much time and effort to the point that she was able to compete in three Olympics in a sport where there’s always new and younger athletes to replace you. Both of these ladies are so important and fundamental to the sport and it’s really such a shame ppl constantly put the girls in this sport against each other.
