Usually when it comes to trailers, they’re often animated before the film is finished. They do their best to make it look nice, proof of concept, but in the end, it’s not the finished product. They usually go back to make it fit with the rest of the film

Well the old scenes were mostly made for the trailers and obv the whole thing wasn’t done, so if they changed anything during the process, they had to go back and redo certain scenes. Personally I think the newer scenes look much better and more in line with Madoka Magica’s original style
