The Jerk, a fish called Wanda, and high fidelity are my “stretches”. Guilty pleasures but genuinely hilarious are: she’s out of my league, milk money and Just friends (the last one I also classify as a Christmas movie)

My underrated pick is What If with Daniel Radcliffe and Zoe Kazan. It also made me fall in love with Mackenzie Davis and Adam Driver. It’s a silly, comfort watch. Highly recommend.

MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING REPRESENTATION!!!! I cannot tell you how many times I’ve tried to show this film to people. It’s such a good entry-point for Shakespeare because the actors are physically brilliant and the lines are spoken in a way everyone can understand. I actually really agree with your list. I find it sad that some rom coms are made in the same shape as tropes rather than prioritising characters and connection, which is what romance films should be about
