I am a nurse and I had a patient who kicked me so hard. He bruise my ribs when I did the incident report I was told I had to move to another unit. I was told that it wouldn’t look good if I found a claim for Workmen’s Comp. and when I did file a claim for WorkMans comp, I was told that my WORKMAN cop claim was fraudulent and they made me take a course on what I could’ve done better to prevent this patient from kicking me 😳

The hospitals and health care facilities says that the patients and residents are SICK. Healthcare workers are to just ACCEPT the ABUSE. Get the LAWS pass that will PROTECT healthcare workers and PROSECUTE the OFFENDERS.

That is so true, but so unfair. They justify it by the anxiety of being sick...BS ! Most of the time my boss would indeed blame me for "setting the tone in the room", all that in addition to caring for the rest of my assignment, so discouraging.
