@saysdotcom: Cloud seeding operations in Sarawak have produced rain in several catchment areas, but rainfall volume has fallen short of expectations, according to MetMalaysia Sarawak. Footage shared by @/peter_salan98 on Threads shows the cloud seeding operation. The operations, originally scheduled for 3 to 5 September, have been extended until 7 September and will focus on the Batang Ai, Bakun, and Murum dams due to their low water levels, reported The Borneo Post. MetMalaysia Sarawak director Khairul Najib Ibrahim said strong winds caused much of the cloud cover to move towards neighbouring countries. Meanwhile, Sarawak is expected to experience dry weather from 6 to 12 September, with authorities continuing to monitor air quality, hotspots, and haze movement.
