@a1paintingnsw: Step 2 / on how to repair and hide your rendered wall crack First coat of patch work will shrink a little and this is normal. Second coat of patch work is to get the patch flush with a texture pattern similar to the existing render by patting the sponge on the patch. If you put to match patch you can remove a little and pat down with a sponge. Step 3 is very similar as this can not be perfect in the first go.
