The sad thing is this is such a severe problem with mom that the 8 year old is trying to save his siblings and knows this is a dangerous thing. If it was a rare occurrence, the kid wouldn’t know any different. It’s sad that he can’t just be a kid, he has to be the parent and the responsible one to save his siblings.

This is exactly why I talk to my children about drinking and letting them know that it’s OK to always just to get into any vehicle where they feel like the driver is intoxicated or not OK to drive. And 100% why my 14 year-old has an uber teen account.
