Christian Obumseli (27) was st*bbed to death by his girlfriend Courtney Clenny. On April 3rd, 2022 Christian headed out to get Subway sandwiches for the evening. When he returned to the condo he shared with Courtney, an argument started and led to his fatal st*bbing. According to Courtney, while arguing Christian began to grab her neck aggressively and slammed her to the ground. When Courtney got up, she grabbed a kitchen knife and “threw the knife at him.” After calling her mother twice, Courtney finally dialed 911 to report her boyfriend was bleeding from a st*b wound. Christian can be heard on the 911 call saying “I can’t feel my arm” and “I’m going to die.” When police arrived, Courtney Clenny was detained for questioning but never arrested. She told police she st*bbed Christian Obumseli in self-defense, and was released the same evening. Courtney remained free until August 2022, when she was detained by US Marshals in Laupahoehoe, Hawaii for second-degree murder. Since the incident several videos have surfaced online showing Clenny’s questionable behavior. One video shows Courtney assaulting Christian Obumseli several times in the elevator of their Miami Condo. Another video 8 months prior to the murder, Courtney was seen arrested in Vegas for throwing a glass at Christian. In December 2022, Courtney Clenny was denied bail and currently awaits trial.
