@ryan.oreilly4: Here’s the secret to running without getting smoked 👇 - Most people don’t need complicated running advice. They need a few simple cues they can remember when they’re tired. - 1. Find your breathing cadence • Don’t let your breathing get out of control. • Find a rhythm you can maintain—something simple like 2–3 steps in, 2–3 steps out. • Harder pace = faster breathing. That’s fine. Just keep it rhythmic. - 2. Pump your arms • When you feel yourself slowing down, think: drive the elbows back. • Moving your arms helps increase your speed. Don’t believe me? Try running with your arms locked at your sides. • Keep them moving forward and back, not across your body. - 3. Adjust your stride on hills • Uphill: shorten your stride and keep your cadence moving. • Don’t force the same pace uphill—the incline can wear you out fast. • Downhill: let your stride naturally open up and use gravity, but stay controlled. - 4. Relax your upper body • Tension wastes energy. • Keep your shoulders down, hands loose, and jaw relaxed. • If you catch yourself tightening up, shake your arms out and reset. - 5. Embrace the suck Running gets uncomfortable. Don’t panic when it does. Stay composed and keep moving. - For the full training plan, comment “RUN” below and I’ll DM it to you. - #aft #run #armyrun
