You know, the first US commercial space launch was in 1982. So I guess Europe is catching up - they’re only 44 years behind us!

Hardly a rival. Spacex falcon 9 the one theyre retiring soon has 25x the capacity with lower launch costs per kg due to its reusability. Its cool if you want it because u want dependence from the US and SpaceX but its certainly not sustainable from a commercial perspective and thats before starship is fully capable and then the price per laucnh drops even further

Hardly a rival, but I'm still incredibly proud of the team in Germany. Especially since the second attempt was already successful. It's a good sign, that Germany and Europe do hard things on their own now 🥳
