It doesn't for people like me with a very sensitive gag reflex, unfortunately. To even get to this level, we have to practice with smaller pills and eventually it goes away. I've just taken to looking for liquid options.

I’ve had phobia of swallowing medicine too but I have a trick. Do it right after eating your meal so you kinda get used to swallowing stuff already. Oh and don’t hesitate or think too much

So by tilting your head down, it floats and sticks to the back of your throat, and then you have a hard time swallowing it anyways. I've always put the pill in my mouth and then drink water.
