@wainanina2: Felista Njeri of Kamirithu, Limuru, died on September 4, 2026. She was the last remaining member of her immediate family. Seventeen months earlier, on March 30, 2025, her husband Francis Muturi, their three children, and two of Muturi’s brothers died in a head-on collision on the Mai Mahiu–Naivasha highway near High Peak. The Toyota Prado they were travelling in smashed into a truck. Also killed was the young son of a family farmhand who had been in the vehicle. The dead were Francis Muturi, 42; his children Fidelis Waithera, 15; Catherine Wanjiru, 13; and Vitalis James Kirubi, 7; plus Muturi’s brothers Peter Kirubi, 41, and George Ngugi, 25. Seven people in total. Njeri was not in the car. She was left alone. In the days after the crash she collapsed and was hospitalised from shock. Relatives and neighbours in Kamirithu rallied around her. That support has now ended with her own death. The whole nuclear family is gone. May they rest in peace.
