I live on Kauai, My island and Ni’ihau are expected to get it the worst of all the islands. The storm honestly is scaring a lot of us because it’s mimicking a hurricane that completely devastated my island back in 92. What’s worse is that a bit of us don’t have the proper supplies to prepare since we’re such a small island. Hoping my roof doesn’t fly away 🥹

I live on O’ahu. We’ll be getting some Tropical storm weather but not as bad as brothers and sister on Kaua’i and Ni’ihau. Everyone send all of their prayers, love, good juju or whatever you believe in that’s positive to our braddahs and sistahs on our sister islands ❤️❤️

I lived in Hawaii for 20 years, and friends on all the islands. I keep in contact with them. During my time in Hawaii I experienced hurricanes and tsunami. It can be scary for sure. I expect to see more hurricanes on the Atlantic Ocean and Pacific Ocean.

As someone that had 8ft of water in my basement one year and experienced three “100 year” rain events and one “1000 year” one in the space of 5 years, we gotta stop calling these once in a generation events. They are not. This is climate change and it’s the new normal until we make meaningful change.
