the issue with this Argument is marvel when it started didnt have much money to make the comics super big so they skipped most of the little things like learning and just got right into the action, and for the movies why waste the screen time for audience now a days when we already know what most of what their powers do. we Saw Tony learning how to use the iron man suit in Iron Man why do we need to see it again in the Avengers?
