I’m a three-time champion bodybuilder have trained nearly 20 years and I wear sunglasses in the gym. It began because my wife passed away 4 1/2 years ago suddenly and unexpectedly and I realized I needed to be around people, but didn’t want to engage. I found though in my decades of training is that my focus is razor sharp and my mind muscle connection is better than it’s ever been even in my bodybuilding prime. So unless you are an experienced lifter, I wouldn’t recommend it. And to those that mock it - I wouldn’t recommend it to you either. 😂😊

It does give me ultimate creep vibes too. I try to give them the benefit of the doubt if it’s for anxiety reasons but idk, maybe use a hat or hoodie 🤷🏾♂️

Sunglasses inside is weird, I'm genx, maybe that has something to do with my feelings on it. I haven't seen people doing this, but I think more neurodivergent and people with social anxiety are lifting. I can see that being a solid reason. Again, I think it's weird, but I align my plates with the words readable from top down and if they move, after the set I'll rotate them to be "correct". So...
