In Denmark we also had the “Stavnsbåndet” aka basically close to white slavery. The basic idea was that farmers and their children belonged to the land owned by their landlord. They had no freedom to leave, they worked their own fields and the landlord’s fields. The landlord could punish them as much as he wanted. While probably not the closest thing, the basic idea was there.
