"he has the super soldier serum" yes we know that's not the point. the point is that his design doesn't make sense considering the character he is. he uses guns, he has no unarmed melee moves. his entire thing is standing back and shooting people. it makes no sense mechanically for him to be this large when he never uses his muscles for anything

honestly i think half the reason they made him so big is because his hitbox needs to be that big to account for the ridiculous damage he can do if he stays in your LOS for a few seconds. he needs to be that big to keep him in check mechanically.

1- Guns are heavy, super heavy, and I'd bet the guns he's carrying are even heavier, the size of his arms and upper body are kinda accurate because those are the most trained muscles to the way he carries and how many guns he carries. 2- If I remember correctly, I think he's a super soldier in this universe? correct me if I'm wrong

I've always interpreted all that muscle's purpose as recoil control. The more muscles he has for the stock to rock into, the bigger the gun he can rock. Managing the recoil of twin miniguns requires some beef, and this dudes got it.

I find myself wondering if the reasoning is because punisher has become a somewhat political figure, an idol for the thin blue line types who fantasize about getting yo brutalized people they see as criminals while acting as law enforcement. he serves as a power fantasy for those people,, doing what they wish they could, so they made him much bigger to entertain that.
