Firstly ... The Quran didn't command the Prophet to interpret the Quran ... otherwise he's failed to perform his mission ... because even the thousands of claimed Hadith fairy tales don't cover even 10% of the Quranic verses.

Secondly ... The Quranic verse that mentions 'Idribuhin' was deliberately mistranslated to mean physical force by evil intentioned men. The Quranic 'Dharb' is clearly alluding to the meaning 'Clarify' ... as in ... ألم تر كيف ضرب الله مثلا كلمة طيبة كشجرة طيبة أصلها ثابت وفرعها في السماء [إبراهيم: 24] Ibrahim 24 - See you not how Allah clarifies in a parable? - A goodly word is as a goodly tree, whose root is firmly fixed, and its branches are in the sky.
