It's actually 100 as soon as you're exiting a town. Also what's confusing about it? 😅 In town 50, out of town 100. If there's a limit the allowed speed will be shown on a round sign with the red circle. The grey sign with the diagonal stripes means the limit is derestricted so you can drive the maximum speed limit (50 in town or 100 out of town). I'm sure it's different to Australia but I'm positive you'll get used to it 😊
