Soaring the wall 🪽

This is an awesome perspective of my flight from top to bottom! This day had excellent thermal lift coming up the mountainside which allowed me to effectively glide further along the ridge before turning towards the landing area. In fact I had a 152 meter cross 1:1. This means that I was covering more horizontal distance than vertical drop at that point. Normally I will get around 210-250 in normal conditions.
 Funny enough, I noticed a group of hikers on the summit of a talus and if you listen closely around 27 seconds right when I make the right turn you can hear them all yelling in excitement! 

Now on to a more serious note. Even though there was lift up the side from the valley, the exit had a slight tailwind which actually tipped me steeper at the beginning. I recovered quickly without issue, but it is a moment that could’ve had consequences. A great reminder to keep the arm wings in for a second before expanding so you can get some momentum and speed. Thankfully this exit had a huge vertical drop.
