extremely hot boiling take and I understand if people don't agree. I think the amount of school shooters we have would drop dramatically if teachers were allowed to carry with monthly mental health checks and consistent background checks (and a ton of training ofc)

People say this til the criminal has a gun and they don’t. Criminals are going to get guns regardless. You’re the one that’s gonna end up dead because you can’t protect yourself. Does it need to be a little stricter. Yes. But should we get rid of it. Absolutely the hell not.

I genuinely dont think guns are the biggest problem. Yes if there weren't guns the crime would go down, but I also think that if we had free, accessible mental Healthcare and a way to eliminate the need for crime as an income crime would go down even more

America has far too many instances of white supremacists routing with the explicit purpose of destroying a black community and killing as many of us as possible for me to ever truly support banning firearms. White rage is not a thing of the past. Belfast in northern Ireland comes to mind as a recent example. We all watched the richest person in history do a full sieg heil salute on national television. Nazis are organizing and having public marches through major cities. ICE is just an unaccountable white militia with legal authority to raid an entire apartment building and disappear whoever they want. The government we live under has massacred college protesters, dropped BOMBS on black neighborhoods, and put racial minorities in concentration camps more than once. Also it doesnt seem practical to try to get of guns in a country with more firearms than citizens and the ability to create more in a 3d printer anywhere at any time
