@www.issifuamadu: During the 1956 Togoland plebiscite, the reigning King of Dagbon was Naa Abdulai Ngmarigong(1953-1968). This video was recorded as part of the public education campaign to demonstrate how the voting process would be conducted. In the footage, you can see a poster displayed on the historic Naa Dataa Tua tree (Kings rival Baobab tree) . The poster reads: Form A (Republic)TOGOLAND PLEBISCITE NOTICE TO INTENDING VOTERS Every person who desires and is entitled to be registered as a voter for the Plebiscite relating to the future status of Togoland under United Kingdom Trusteeship (as part of the Local Council), whether previously registered as a voter for any purpose or not, must deliver a written claim to be so registered to:The Registration Officer / Assistant Registration Officer at [Yendi?] on or before the day of February 1956.
