So now they also want the minister himself to come out and receive their petition? When exactly did this absurd practice start? Was it when Sammy Gyamfi said he expected the Bank of Ghana Governor to personally come and receive their petition? Or when Afenyo-Markin told Nana Jantuah that he expected the President himself to step out and receive their petition? Too much nonsense and mediocrity is creeping into our socio-political space, and we are normalizing it. A petition can be received by any authorized representative of the institution — insisting on the head of the institution is just populism and unnecessary drama
