@livingwellwithdrmichelle: Try this right now. Breathe through your mouth for a few seconds and notice where your tongue goes. When you breathe through your mouth, the tongue drops to the floor of the mouth and the cheeks push in. Over time, that pressure narrows the upper jaw, and the lower jaw follows because it fits inside the upper one. A narrower jaw means less room for teeth, which is where crowding comes from. It also means less room for the tongue, so it falls backward into the space air needs to pass through. It all starts with where the tongue rests and how you breathe. Save this and share it with a friend who's curious why their teeth crowded as an adult. #mouthbreathing #jawnarrowing #teethcrowding #airwayhealth #tonguepositioning #holisticdentist #orthodontics #biologicaldentistry #naturaldental #facialgrowth #dentalhealth #wellness
