Anthony, 19, is serving 35 years for fatally stabbing 17-year-old Austin Metcalf and now describes himself as “penniless, destitute, and indigent.” Pressed on where the previous money went, a family spokesman declined to detail the expenses and calls claims that donations bought a car or house “deliberate lies.” His attorney says the appeal could take more than a year. This time, donations will go directly into an attorney trust account, not the family.
