@timetocrunch: Share with someone you want to hike this trail with 🥾 The Eastern Sierra continues to amaze us 🤯 This hike takes you to 7+ lakes in Little Lakes Valley near Bishop, CA. It’s a perfect hike to plan for if you’re driving the scenic Highway 395. 📍 Inyo National Forest, Bishop, California 🥾 Little Lakes Valley to Gem Lakes (7.3 miles, 1,066 ft elevation gain, rated moderate on @alltrails ) 🅿️ Park at the Mosquito Flat Trailhead (parking fills up fast, especially on weekends, so arrive early! We didn’t and had to park about a half mile down the road adding to our mileage) 🐶 This is a dog-friendly trail. Please be responsible and pick up after your pup 💩 🏔️ The trail starts at an elevation of 10000+ feet, so it helps if you have time to acclimate 🎒 Bring lots of water, sun protection, food, swim suits, and a towel! 💦 We jumped in at the end when we reached Gem Lakes, but all of the lakes are beautiful! If you don’t want to hike all the way to Gem Lakes, it’s worth it to do part of the trail and at least see a few lakes. 💚 Remember to leave no trace.
