Orange juice helps with absorption it’s the vitamins c in it. They always tell you to take iron with orange due to the absorption factor. Hope this helped

My dr told me take two tums before and have protein 30min to an hour after taking my meds. High acidic levels in the stomach may destroy or weaken the medication causing it to last shorter than necessary and or not work as well. For protein, I usually do an ensure or boost if I’m not having breakfast.
