@coral.santoro: I think we’ve made dreams unnecessarily dramatic. We imagine that pursuing something means quitting the job, making the announcement, investing everything, changing our entire life and going all in. Sometimes that’s possible. A lot of the time, it isn’t. Sometimes you have children to take care of. A mortgage. A job you genuinely cannot afford to leave. People depending on you. Debt you’re trying to pay. A business that’s paying the bills while you quietly wonder whether you want to build something completely different. Real life doesn’t disappear because you discovered something you love. And I don’t think you should feel guilty about being responsible. But there’s a huge difference between putting a dream on hold and abandoning it. Take the class. Write one page. Make the first video. Learn the software. Research the business. Practice for thirty minutes. Put a little money aside. Give something two hours a week if that’s honestly all you have right now. It doesn’t look dramatic enough to become one of those overnight-success stories people love telling online. But give two hours a week to something for three years and see how different your life can look. Not everything important has to happen quickly. Sometimes the goal is simply to keep something alive long enough for your circumstances to finally catch up with it.
