dont use toothpaste on your dentures its too abrasive on your teeth if anything use dawn dish soap

Hi, dental lab tech "I make dentures"😊 Dawn and a soft bristle toothbrush, you can also soak them in ½ vinegar ½ water "great antimicrobial" but soak in only water over night. A lot of people soak in the tablets overnight, 3-5 min. is best. Sorry you weren't given any care instructions, hope this helps. I hope you heal quickly and wish you luck with your dental journey!! Also if u have a dog keep them out of reach, I remake the most because a dogs lol

Bless your heart. Do not leave those dentures out for a very long period of time your gums will swell and you will not be able to get them back in unfortunately with lupus comes dry mouth that can also help promote tooth decay. Some medications you have to take also can make it worse. I’m so sorry you’re so young and having to go through this but just remember you will be OK. It’s just gonna take time. I’ll be praying.

do not clean your dentures with regular toothpaste it will scratch your dentures. also warm salt water rinses will help your gums heal. it gets better hang in there.

oh my heart broke for you when you started crying 😢 you are so brave and beautiful. i am getting full dentures soon because I had brain cancer twice and radiation destroyed my teeth. this made me feel better so thank you for posting and hang in there sis.

You started to cry the hardest when you said” I don’t have any teeth”, which leads me to think you are more embarrassed than in pain. I want you to know there is nothing to be embarrassed about! you’re taking care of your teeth and doing what you have to do it will be worth it in the long run. I had all my teeth extracted in July... I was in the same boat babe . it gets better... warm salt water saved me... it helped the healing of my gums. ur beautiful no matter what! much love 💕

honey rinse with warm salt water for yoyr gums . it will draw the soreness oit and help with pain

your not battling alone... hang in there..you got this.. lupus is a beast.. it took mine too...and all I can say is its hard sometimes, but we are warriors❤️It gets easier as far as healing and learning to where ur prosthetics... you look beautiful..stay strong..

My dad had his teeth extracted and wouldnt give him dentures for 2 months after to make sure he was healed. This seems so wild 🥺

Does the lupus make you bruise easier? I had full mouth extraction surgery and my face didn’t bruise at all just swelling. I also had to wait until my mouth was healed before I got my dentures

I’m eight months further along now myself, and believe me, it really does get better. I actually tried to make myself laugh even when my dentures were out. I cried a huge amount during the first few months too, but the ultimate relief of being pain-free and hearing everyone say they’ve never seen me smile so much works wonders.
