Civic 2012 here with 223K miles. I have been reusing the factory washer that came with the car to this day. This started as an experiment for me. Still no leaks.

Unless I lost the original washer ,I never had a problem with using the original washer no matter what vehicle I changed oil on.

I used to work at a dealership it was a Hyundai dealer ship but under that dealership name we also had a Honda dealership and I got to work in a 2006 Honda accord I believe it was and it had one on it as well

Aluminum or Copper washers yes 👍. Many dealerships include the washer with factory filter . You are correct ✅
