Summer has a way of throwing routines out the window. ☀️ Different city. Different gym. Different equipment. No usual gym partner. Later nights, later mornings, work happening across different time zones… and suddenly the routine you’ve built all year doesn’t really fit anymore. I’ve been in Lebanon for the past month, and almost everything about my usual training routine changed. So instead of trying to recreate my usual routine, I made one promise to myself: just keep moving. 💪🏼 I went back to the gym I usually train at whenever I’m in Lebanon. I adapted my workouts to the equipment I had, stopped worrying about following the exact same program, and made sure I was still getting in 4–5 sessions a week. One thing I did try to hold onto was my morning training. 🌅 I tried working out at night, quickly realized it wasn’t for me, and went back to mornings. Different schedule, maybe a little later than usual, but still the part of my routine that works best for me. And I think that’s the part we sometimes get wrong. Consistency doesn’t always mean doing the exact same thing, at the exact same time, in the exact same place. Sometimes consistency simply means not stopping 🔁 A few things that helped me this summer: 1. Find a gym close to where you’re staying. 📍 Convenience removes half the excuses. 2. Don’t try to replicate your usual routine perfectly. Work with what you have. 3. Set a realistic weekly target. Mine was 4–5 sessions. 🎯 4. Keep the parts of your routine that work for you. For me, that’s training in the morning. 5. No gym partner? Train alone. Different machines? Adapt. 6. Short session? Still better than no session. ✔️ 7. Enjoy the dinners, late nights, trips and summer plans. Training doesn’t have to compete with your life. ☀️ 8. Take progress photos if they motivate you. 📸 And yes, I take gym photos. For me, they’re part of the motivation - a way to track the work, hold myself accountable and remind myself to keep going. One month away from my usual routine. Still training. Still moving. Still showing up. 💪🏼 Your routine can change without your commitment changing. #workout #routine #Fitness #motivation
