@optomworld: 👁️ Pediatric Strabismus Case Intermittent ET with DSR 1 Patient: 7-year-old female Chief Complaint: Intermittent outward deviation of the eyes, noticed occasionally by the parents. 🔍 Examination Ocular alignment / Cover tests: • On cover–uncover testing, intermittent exotropia was demonstrated. • On repeated cover testing, the patient was exotropic on some trials and orthotropic/straight on others, consistent with intermittent deviation. • Alternate cover test: No manifest deviation was demonstrated. • Eyes were aligned in the primary position during periods of fusion. Ocular motility: • Findings consistent with a retraction syndrome involving the right eye. • Limitation of abduction of the right eye was noted. • Motility findings were assessed in different diagnostic positions to evaluate the pattern of ocular movement.
